How do you make Bible reading a habit? It’s a question I struggled with for most of my life. While I grew up in church, knew the importance of reading my Bible and tried many, many times to make Bible reading a habit, it took a loooong time before I started reading it consistently.
Now I enjoy reading my Bible so much that I’m usually up at 5:15 a.m. during the week to read. (Did I mention I’m not a morning person?)
So, how do you make Bible reading a habit?
You make yourself accountable to someone.
That’s what I did a few years back, and I’ve been consistently reading my Bible ever since. I’ve talked about it here and here, but joining Hello Mornings has been among the top five boosts to my faith.
There’s actually a Winter Hello Mornings Challenge starting February 24th. If you’ve had trouble sticking to a consistent Bible reading schedule, why not give it a shot?
I’ll be leading one of the many Hello Mornings Twitter groups and would love to have you join us. Even if you don’t join my group, you can find other Hello Mornings groups on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
General registration starts Monday, February 17th, but you can click here to pre-register for my group, My Fabulous Morning, through Sunday, February 16th.
